I agree with Pye Ms. Pye that we shouldn't let these singing Valentine's get out of hand. They can be quite distracting. I encourage you all in advance not to let any of the celebrating get out of hand this year.

The House Hourglass for Gryffindor is not inaccurate as some people have been asking. I know because I was who took the points.
In other news, Ms. Goshawk raised a very interesting point last week that I happen to agree with. If the muggles are here to observe us, why is there a sudden increase in activities that are "muggle-centric"?
I myself take Muggle Studies as an education course since I do see the merit in understanding the general workings of the Muggle world when you aspire to go into a field of profession that could potentially deal with its existence. But I really don't see any point of studying their asethetics such as poetry nor do I understand how this plan to put in telephones will benefit wizarding population. In fact, it could potentially be detrimental.

For those of you that dodged Charms Club yesterday for whatever reason, Professor Frobisher did notice and expect to be confronted about your absence.
Honestly, don't make a commitment to an activity if you're not even going to bother showing up.

Well, that was completely absurd. I don't remember abuse of power being one of MacMillan's compaign promises. I don't know what was being searched for but I'm certain the entire party did not provoke any kind of probable cause for that kind of reaction.
